Synopsis on Goodreads
George A. Romero’s classic 1968 film Night of the Living Dead launched a new era of gut-munching mayhem, terrorizing moviegoers and launching the zombie movie phenomenon. John A. Russo co-wrote the screenplay for the movie and turned the flesh eating frenzy into two horrific, blood drenched novels, collected here in one terrifying volume. Undead is gruesome, suspenseful horror at its best.

This book features the books Night of The Living Dead and Return of The Living Dead.
I liked this book but I felt that it could have been better. Both stories are relativity short and could be read in one sitting.
The writing could have been better. There is a smallish paragraph at the beginning of chapter 1 in Night of The Living Dead that is repeated as a prologue in Return of The Living Dead. I felt this wasn’t really necessary since both books were in one and it really annoyed me to read something that i’ve already read. There was also a small passage repeated from book 1 in book 2.
There was lots of action from the start which made me want to read on. However the reviews on the back of the book made the book seem like it was going to be scary, but reading the book didn’t really scare me at all, although i think 2 of them are directed towards the films rather than the book.
This is perfect for a quick zombie fix.
